Glen Kamara signs on dotted line to quit Leeds United, medical done – Fabrizio Romano

Glen Kamara has signed his contract with Rennes to officially quit Leeds United, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reported via X (16 July) that the midfielder has completed his medical tests with the Ligue 1 outfit.

Romano has described the £8.4million transfer between the two clubs as a “deal done”.

Kamara said goodbye to Leeds United supporters via his official Instagram account on Tuesday (16 July).

Glen Kamara quits Leeds United and joins Rennes

It appears as though Kamara might have gone a little bit early with his goodbye message to Leeds supporters at Elland Road.

Perhaps a little mix-up or miscommunication between the player and clubs, but he seems to have actually announced his own transfer before allowing either Leeds or Rennes to do the honours.

With a Kamara goodbye and Romano “deal done” tweet in the books, it appears as though this transfer can be considered as good as confirmed despite the lack of an actual confirmation.

In the grand scheme of things, this won’t mean much, and what supporters and Daniel Farke will now be focussed on is looking forward.

Kamara spent just one season at Elland Road, but fans would have no doubt been happy for him to stay with the club much longer.

He enjoyed an impressive debut season in English football. However, it looks as if that was his one and only season with the Whites.
