Leeds United are not expecting a permanent transfer for Marc Roca to sign for Real Betis to happen imminently, according to Leeds-Live.

Writing on their website (19 June), the news outlet reports that a deal is likely to happen this summer as the Spanish midfielder is keen to leave Elland Road after a loan spell in Seville last season.

But a deal isn't imminent despite reports in Spain [Estadio Deportivo, 18 June], and while talks are ongoing there are still details to iron out before a deal is agreed for a permanent exit.

Leeds United not relying on returning loanees for Premier League push

Despite news that Brendan Aaronson will be staying at Elland Road for the 2024/25 season [Graham Smyth, 14 June], it doesn't look likely that Daniel Farke will be relying on returning loanees to bolster his squad.

Diego Llorente looks likely to leave permanently, Jack Harrison is a wanted man [Daily Mail, 28 May] and Gladbach want to sign Max Wober permanently too [Gladbach Live, 18 April].

Roca spent just one season at the club after joining from Bayern Munich but he failed to make any real impact at the club and a permanent exit isn't something anyone will lose sleep over.

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke
Diego Llorente is unlikely to be in Daniel Farke's Leeds United plans next season.

The player still has two years remaining on his contract and this is the best chance for the Whites to get some money back for him so it's a deal that makes sense for all parties.

Roca wants to go, Betis want him back and Leeds don't care if he leaves. It will happen eventually, but there is still a little wait before it's official.
