'Fantastic' - Many Leeds fans want £30k-a-wk PL striker signed, one would take 'over Che Adams'

Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to urge the club to sign Glenn Murray from Brighton before the January transfer window closes.

Marcelo Bielsa has found himself a striker down after Eddie Nketiah was recalled by Arsenal from his loan spell at Elland Road and there is a good chance a replacement will be snapped up before the end of the month.

Who that replacement might be, however, remains to be seen.

Plenty of names have been linked with Leeds with Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster and Southampton’s Che Adams among them.

However Murray – who one fan would rather have over Adams – is someone whose name is cropping up a lot of on social media at the moment among Leeds supporters.

The 36-year-old is not getting much game-time on the south coast and has only started three Premier League matches for Brighton this season.

While many might see Murray as someone who is past his best, he is still someone who might be available and has a proven track record in the Championship having scored 67 goals in 143 second-tier appearances.

Leeds could certainly do worse than the £30,000-a-week [Spotrac] centre-forward and plenty see him as a viable option for Bielsa this month.
