Phil Hay details whether Brighton can recall Ben White this month
Brighton are unable to recall Ben White from his loan spell at Leeds United this month, according to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.
The former Yorkshire Evening Post reporter claimed via his personal Twitter account on Thursday that White, 22, has played too many games for Leeds to have his loan deal terminated early.
they don’t have the right to recall. He’s played too many games here.

White joined Leeds on a season-long loan in the summer and has since played every minute of every Championship fixture for the Yorkshire giants.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported in November that Brighton did not have the option to recall the defender if he had played a certain number of games.
And now, according to Hay, it seems as though White’s appearance tally has hit the magic number for Leeds.
Marcelo Bielsa has already lost two loanees this month with Tottenham and Arsenal recalling Jack Clarke and Eddie Nketiah respectively.
Thankfully there is no way for Brighton to terminate White’s deal because he has been one of the best centre-backs in the Championship this season.
WhoScored have the 22-year-old in their team of the season so far while no other player in the league has averaged more interceptions per game [2.6] than him.
Clarke and Nketiah are replaceable but White certainly isn’t and the fact that he is going to stay at Elland Road until the summer is a huge boost to Leeds’ bid for promotion back to the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, this top-flight player wanted by Leeds is willing to drop to the Championship this month.
