Leeds United could be deterred from making any move for Middlesbrough star Emmanuel Latte Lath due to the actions of his agent, according to Joe Donnohue.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist claimed on 9 January that Boro are concerned about the actions of his agent after he posted pictures outside West Ham's training ground.

It states that Daniel Farke would be unlikely to sanction a move for the forward given his dislike for external interference around his players.

Leeds are not said to be seriously pushing to sign Latte Lath, despite differing reports.

Latte Lath would be a great signing for Leeds United

Regardless of the antics of the player's agent, a move for Latte Lath would be a great signing for the Whites.

Joel Piroe has underwhelmed despite scoring ten goals and assisting five in 26 Championship appearances as his overall play has left much to be desired.

Meanwhile, the alternatives to the Dutch attacker are Mateo Joseph, who has two goals in 26 league matches and Patrick Bamford, who has not scored in 10 appearances.

Farke's side needs to strengthen if they are to maintain their promotion push due to a razor-close battle at the top of the division and Latte Lath's ten goals, blistering pace and all-round play would give them the edge they need.

Burnley and Sheffield United are just one point behind the Elland Road club with 20 matches left to play, so they could easily lose out on automatic promotion and suffer a similar heartbreak to last season.

Signing the Ivorian would almost guarantee promotion and would give Leeds' frightening attack, a completely different dimension.
