Diego Llorente bid ready as Leeds United transfer now really close
Real Betis are ready to make an offer for Leeds United defender Diego Llorente this summer, according to Samuel Silva.
The Spanish journalist reported on 27 June that Betis are willing to buy the 30-year-old centre-back outright, as opposed to Italian side Roma who are keen to re-sign Llorente on loan next season.
Llorente has spent the last 18 months on loan at Roma either side of relegation from the Premier League, but Daniel Farke's side is hoping to sell him permanently.
Llorente could join another outgoing player Marc Roca at the Estadio Benito Villamarin [Diario del Sevilla, 22 June].

After a season-and-a-half as a fairly regular figure under two different managers at Roma, it seemed all but certain that Llorente would finally make his Stadio Olimpico switch a permanent one this summer.
However, the Italian side getting cold feet over a transfer fee for the 30-year-old looks to have opened the door for Betis, and that should be music to Leeds' ears in their bid to get Llorente off the books [Daily Mirror, 19 June].
The Spaniard is one of several high earners in line to return to Elland Road in the coming weeks following loan spells away, but neither Llorente nor Farke will be keen on the centre-back sticking around [Roma News, 18 June].
With Leeds looking to bring in transfer fees for unwanted players rather than facing another summer full of distracting loan deals, Betis should now be in the driving seat to complete a permanent transfer.
Jack Harrison has already headed back out on loan to Everton, and after Llorente did likewise to Roma last summer, this transfer window has to be the one where the Whites hold the cards [Daily Mail, 28 May].
