Leeds United are in desperate need of a new goalkeeper.

It's no secret that Daniel Farke has been somewhat left with his hands tied after recent exits at Elland Road.

Illan Meslier left as a free agent, as expected, and has since joined Arsenal.

But, Karl Darlow being on the verge of a move to Manchester United was not expected, with offers on the table to stay in LS11.

That's where Zion Suzuki comes into play.

Leeds now desperately need a new goalkeeper, and the auction is just about to get underway for Suzuki at Parma.

Details as Zion Suzuki nears summer transfer

Leeds have been tracking the Japan international for weeks now, and it's about to hit a conclusion.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported in its print edition on Sunday that Suzuki is at the centre of an auction.

The Italian newspaper states that Parma are delighted, with sales needed to balance the books and open the door to their own signings.

Valued at up to £29.8million, the goalkeeper is wanted by not only Leeds and Aston Villa, but now Paris Saint-Germain.

With Parma expecting players back for medical tests and the start of pre-season on Monday, all eyes will be on Suzuki.

Which other goalkeepers do Leeds like?

As is the same with every summer, the Whites have been linked with several players in each position.

The other big name is Manchester City's James Trafford.

With Parma actually ready to sell Suzuki, the issue with Trafford is that nobody knows what's happening with him.

Currently still at the World Cup, which will be followed by a holiday, City have signed Pierce Charles but sent him out on loan.

It looks unlikely that Trafford will be available, despite sitting behind Gianluigi Donnarumma.

That makes this pursuit of Suzuki even bigger for Leeds, who simply can't afford to lose out.

After starring in the World Cup with Japan, he will be back in action imminently and ready for a big jump to the Premier League.

Leeds currently have Lucas Perri and Alex Cairns on board, it's very clear that they need more.
