‘Cannot go into QPR with one striker’ – Leeds Super Fans react to proposed big-money gamble
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road and Thorp Arch.

It’s groundhog day for Leeds United fans.
Midway through the January transfer window and the club still hasn’t brought any players in.
The number one target is a Southampton player but their manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has said he doesn’t want Che Adams to leave.
Leeds have put an improved offer in for him and haven’t had it rejected yet, but each day that goes on increases the nerves for the fans.
Paul Robinson thinks it’s time to stop messing about. He said exclusively to MOT Leeds News that the club should gamble and spend £20m this window on one or two new players, even if it means paying “double or treble” back in the summer after getting promoted.
That’s a gamble that would make promotion this season an even more high stakes proposition.
Leeds fans know what can happen if you get financial gambles wrong but is this one worth it?
That’s the question we asked our panel of Super Fans – this is what they had to say.

The majority of our Super Fans want Leeds to take the gamble, pointing out that we’ve got a Kalvin Phillips safety net if things go wrong.
He will likely leave in the summer if we don’t get promoted and based on speculation around him last summer, he should fetch upwards of £20m.
However, there are understandably some nerves around gambling financially.
