Dan Bardell believes that Bobby Decordova-Reid will turn down a move to Leeds United if there is Premier League interest in signing him this summer.

The Jamaica international is set to depart Fulham this summer when his contract ends after a dispute with the club in recent weeks.

This has seen him linked with various Premier League sides, as well as the Whites on a free transfer at the end of the month [TEAMtalk].

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes the versatile Fulham star would reject Leeds in favour of a move to another top-division side.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Bardell said: "I think he's a player who has worked hard to be a Premier League footballer and at the moment if there's Premier League interest, although Leeds are a huge club, I can't see him making that move.

"It would be a huge signing for Leeds because I think he would do really well at Championship level but I think he will look it and think he's a Premier League player.

"He's consistently performed at Fulham for years and although I think he'd be a great pick-up for Leeds, I don't think they'll be able to entice him to the Championship."

Leeds United want Bobby Decordova-Reid free transfer

The 31-year-old has been with the Cottagers since 2019 and has featured in the Premier League and the Championship with them over the years.

After earning promotion in 2022 Decordova-Reid has become a stable member of the Fulham squad across a whole host of positions.

This has seen him feature on the wing, as a full-back and striker in his more traditional role from his time with Bristol City and Cardiff City.

He scored seven goals in all competitions last season across 41 appearances [FotMob] which is a useful return for such a versatile player.

A drop-down to the Championship after multiple seasons as a regular in the top division may be something that he doesn't want to do.

There is no doubt that he would be a star at Elland Road and on a free transfer he could prove to be a great piece of business for Leeds.
