Bielsa blown away by player Victor Orta has set sights on signing for Leeds - report
We said that we liked the idea of Leeds United signing Andy Rinomhota from Reading when Football Insider reported Victor Orta was lining up a potential move for the 22-year-old either in the summer or January.
He’s a player that fits the Bielsa mould and would provide excellent cover for Kalvin Phillips in the defensive midfield position.
Bielsa had to move Ben White up from centre-back when Phillips was suspended for the game against Huddersfield.
Now, Football Insider has said that Marcelo Bielsa was “blown away” by the performance of Rinomhota in Leeds’ 1-0 win against Reading earlier in the season.
And Leeds have reportedly stepped up their scouting after getting the positive feedback from Bielsa.
Rinomhota was Reading’s player of the season last campaign and we thought he was one of the best players in their side when we went to The Madejski.

He was born in Leeds and broke into the Reading first-team last season when he made 26 appearances in the Championship.
He’s had a run of starts in the Championship this season and has played 90 minutes in six of the last seven games.
He passed our eye test and if he’s passed the scrutiny of Victor Orta and Marcelo Bielsa, then we’d be more than happy to sign him either in January or next summer.
Rinomhota is under contract at Reading until 2022.
Leeds carried on their unbeaten run on Saturday but left the winning run at seven after throwing away a 3-0 lead against Cardiff.
The visitors scored three times in the last 30 minutes to snatch a draw and leave Leeds in second.
Leeds have to put that disappointment behind them now as they travel to Fulham next Saturday.
Fulham will also be looking for a reaction after losing three games in a row.
