Anton Stach transfer to top-six club 'one to watch' if one thing happens at Leeds United
Anton Stach continues to go somewhat under the radar at Leeds United.
Whites supporters know full well how talented their Germany international midfielder is.
Stach has become a big favourite with the Elland Road faithful since signing from Hoffenheim in a £17million move last summer.
The 27-year-old has become an integral part of Daniel Farke's squad at Leeds, featuring at the heart of midfield alongside captain Ethan Ampadu.
In a transfer window where midfielders were moving for eye-watering sums, Stach's name did not start cropping up, thankfully for Leeds fans.
But former Whites winger Lee Sharpe thinks "top-six clubs" might start sniffing around, especially if one thing happens for Leeds this season.
Could Leeds United midfield Anton Stach draw transfer interest?
Stach has six Premier League goals to his name since moving to Leeds, including a stunning free-kick winner over Nottingham Forest on the opening weekend this term.
When he joined in the summer of 2025, Stach signed a four-year deal so there are no immediate fears for the Whites.
However, Sharpe - who spent three years with the Whites from 1996 to 1999 - believes the "fantastic" Stach will draw attention from some of the Premier League's heavyweights.
Sharpe thinks that will especially be the case should Leeds manage to muscle their way into the top 10 this season.
In quotes reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Sharpe said: "He had a great season last year. He was fantastic and he's continued this year, getting goals.
"I think he’s certainly one to watch. I think when you've played at a club like Leeds and consistently played as well as he has, I’m certain there will be to- six clubs looking at him if Leeds can't get themselves up the table and get into the top 10.
“Maybe they will have a look at him for next season. But I certainly think with his consistency, his goals, his performances, I'm sure there's top clubs looking at him.”
Should Leeds United fear Anton Stach exit?
Right now, there is nothing to really fear for Leeds.
The transfer window is closed, Stach has ample time remaining on his contract, and there has not been anything concrete in terms of interest.
Of course, if the 27-year-old continues to perform as well as he has in a Leeds shirt then that could change.
But Leeds are continuing to build something really special, and Stach might just fancy being front and centre of that for the foreseeable future.
