Ally McCoist discusses Leeds United in Ryan Kent conversation on talkSPORT
Ally McCoist has been discussing the future of Leeds United-linked winger Ryan Kent after Rangers crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Scottish giants lost 2-1 to Malmo at Ibrox and were defeated 4-2 on aggregate to the Swedish outfit, and they have been relegated to the Europa League.
Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast [11/08/21] the morning after his old side exited UEFA’s premier competition, McCoist mentioned Leeds as he shared his fear that the Gers may be forced to sell their “spectacular” [Michael Laudrup, FourLadsHadADream] 24-year-old attacker.
He said: “Kent they spent a few quid on from Liverpool but obviously the rumours are that Leeds are still hovering around and are interested in taking him.”
We’d take him
Is Kent operating on the same level as Whites star Raphinha? No, but could he rival Jack Harrison for a starting spot on the left-wing? Absolutely.

The ex-Liverpool forward has shone in the Scottish Premiership and Europa League over the past few seasons, and he appears ideally placed to take the next step in his career.
He would come as a ready-made starter who is still young enough to improve immeasurably under Marcelo Bielsa, who tried to sign him last year.
Would we prefer someone even younger, with an even higher ceiling? Of course, players like Matheus Cunha, Noa Lang and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have piqued our interest and we would love one of those forwards to be brought to Elland Road.
But Kent would still represent a very intriguing option and could be available in a cut-price deal now that Rangers are not playing in the Champions League.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign this England youth international sensation.
