Leeds United have already started to be linked with many moves for a new forward in the January window.

GhanaSoccerNet recently reported that the Whites are keen on Swansea City striker Andre Ayew.

It is suggested that Marcelo Bielsa has a strong relationship with the African attacker from their time working together at Marseille previously.

The player himself has recently commented on the speculation linking him with a move to Elland Road and made it clear he hadn't heard of any interest.

"I am not aware of that," he told Canal+, as quoted by Get Football News France.

"I don’t know anything. I don’t have any comment. I appreciate Marcelo Bielsa enormously. He is an incredible manager. We had a very very strong relationship at Marseille. And there you have it. That’s all I can say.

"But in terms of transfers. There will be more things that will be said, there have already been things that have been said."

This always seemed like a rumour that didn't make much sense though. Ayew is 30-years-old and will be on a big wage at the Liberty Stadium.

With the financial fair play rules getting strict in the Championship, Leeds are in no position to sanction a move for the Ghanaian international who would require a big transfer fee plus wages before making any switch to Elland Road.

We think Ayew's comments have put an end to the speculation, and Leeds can go about their business more effectively in the window hopefully.
