Turkish outlet Fotospor has claimed that there is a big last-minute hitch that could scupper Gjanni Alioski's planned move from Leeds United to Galatasaray.

The report claims that – as per Football Insider – the Leeds player has verbally agreed a deal with the Turkish side and is just waiting for the go-ahead to sign a three-year contract.

However, potential future changes at the club appear to have spooked him.

The report claims Alioski wanted to talk to manager Fatih Terim before signing, only to be told, "There will be no Terim next season."

When he asked to talk to the new manager it was said it wasn't clear who this would be.

Fotospor claims Alioski was "surprised" by these answers and that he won't sign until he finds out what the new manager thinks of him.

Leeds United

Yet another Alioski twist

Where before it looked like Gjanni Alioski was definitely leaving Leeds United, there now seems to be some doubt.

Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi were officially announced as exiting the club ahead of the final game of the season, but there was no word about Alioski.

Talking on the Phil Hay Show podcast today, Victor Orta said there was still an offer on the table for him and that he hoped he would sign it.

This new story would make sense in terms of the lack of communication, both from Leeds and from Alioski.

It would also explain why Alioski hasn't come out and denied the reports linking him to a club that's so hated by Leeds fans.

We thought it would be sorted by now but the Alioski saga looks set to rumble on further into the summer.
