Alan Brazil asks Leeds United question as Ivan Toney transfer update drops on talkSPORT
Alan Brazil has questioned whether Leeds United would make a January move for Ivan Toney.
Daniel Farke is under pressure to be sacked at Leeds after what has been a difficult start to life back in the Premier League.
The Elland Road club have suffered back-to-back defeats, with Leeds’ 3-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest being particularly frustrating.
A lack of goals is a concern, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been largely anonymous for Leeds since his summer move.
This has prompted Brazil to question a potential move for Toney in January, as Alex Crook shared the transfer latest.

Leeds United namedropped in Ivan Toney transfer race
Toney emerged as a target for Leeds in 2022 when a potential alternative to Patrick Bamford was eyed up in West Yorkshire.
The England international went on to stay at Brentford and continue to score goals in the top flight, either side of his ban for betting offences.
The 29-year-old moved to Saudi Arabia with Al Ahli in 2024 and has netted 41 goals in less than 60 appearances for the Middle East outfit.
A switch to the Pro League has come at a cost, with Thomas Tuchel reluctant to select him on the international stage, prompting a potential Premier League return.
Crook has suggested that a whole host of sides will be interested in the striker, while speaking live via talkSPORT on 12 November.
He said: “They’ll be queuing up, there’s no question about that. You’ve mentioned Everton. West Ham are another team in dire need of a number nine because Niclas Fullkrug looks like he’s going to leave in January after what has been a disappointing move.“
Brazil cut the reporter off to simply question, “Leeds?“
The transfer guru eventually replied: “Leeds, as you mention as well, probably half of the Premier League would take Ivan Toney.“
Joel Piroe could be done at Leeds if Toney signs
Joel Piroe was the Championship golden boot last season, but is still yet to be given a fair chance under Farke this season.
Calvert-Lewin has been preferred despite a characteristic dry spell in front of goal, while the Dutchman has been forced to watch from the bench.
His position within the squad is only likely to worsen should Toney come in at Elland Road in a blockbuster January switch.

The Englishman would undoubtedly improve the squad in LS11, with his goalscoring exploits being clear for all to see.
Should he come in, Piroe would likely see his future away from Yorkshire, with a winter exit potentially being in the pipeline.
