Agent has easy access to Europe, Leeds push to sign Arthur Cabral

Leeds United are among a big group of clubs looking to sign Basel goal-machine Arthur Cabral, according to ESPN.

The online outlet share that Barcelona are pushing the hardest, but look set to be joined by the likes of the Whites and Inter Milan.

Cabral’s agent, Paulo Pitombeira is said to have easy access to clubs in Europe and has initiated contact with some already.

The race is really starting to heat up now.

Cabral has been on fire over in Switzerland, scoring 23 goals in 24 games as he starts to make a huge name for himself at that side of Europe.

Known for his power, he was also handed his first Brazil call-up recently by Tite who has guided his side to the Qatar World Cup.

Raphinha has also been called up to the Brazil squad recently, meaning there’s no doubt the pair knew each other.

Leeds are really struggling in terms of the final third this season.

Not only does that apply to finding the back of the net, but also big injury issues within the squad at Elland Road.

Patrick Bamford has been missing since the 1-1 draw at Newcastle and has been ruled out of the trip to Spurs on Sunday.

That means it will likely be Dan James leading the line, and although a threat over the top, his finishing leaves much to the imagination.

Another striker is desperately needed, and with Victor Orta said to be constantly updating his shortlist, contact with Pitombeira may not be far away.
