49ers masterstroke could reward Leeds United with Premier League survival after Jack Harrison U-turn
Leicester City are still frustrated with Leeds United after they backed out of a deal to sell Jack Harrison to them on transfer deadline day in January, according to The Telegraph.
The newspaper reported via their website on Saturday (18 March) that soon-to-be-Leeds-owners 49ers Enterprises were behind the decision to pull the plug on Harrison’s move to the East Midlands.
It is understood that the 49ers’ decision is “proving a masterstroke” as Harrison’s form since then is playing a major role in Leeds’ rise up the Premier League table.
Incredible
We know how much of an influence the 49ers have had on Leeds’ dealings over the last couple of seasons.

And what about the moves for Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie that came about after that?
It’s often forgotten that Harrison has spent a lot of his life living in the USA, moving there at the age of 14.
He rose through the ranks at Black Rock FC, Manhattan SC and Wake Forest Demon Deacons before joining New York City FC in 2016 as the youngest-available player in the MLS SuperDraft.
Harrison spent two seasons in Major League Soccer before heading back to England with Manchester City, who loaned him out to Middlesbrough and then Leeds, who bought him permanently after three seasons of loan deals.
It’s no surprise the 49ers like the Stoke-born attacker.
It’s also not a great surprise to see that his form has revived since some faith was shown in him at the end of January with the winger now scoring two goals and supplying two assists in the last four Premier League appearances.
