Manor Solomon can deliver Leeds United promotion after what he did v Oxford

Manor Solomon played a starring role for Leeds United as they secured an emphatic 4-0 victory over Oxford United on Saturday.

Leeds secured an important three points on Saturday with Sunderland, Burnley and Sheffield United all achieving victory.

The result keeps the Whites within touching distance of the summit of the Championship and they have Solomon to thank for what was a remarkable performance from the 25-year-old.

If he can maintain this level of performance, he could single-handedly deliver promotion to Leeds United.

Several players stepped up to the plate on 21 December and the general team performance was impressive but no one stood out as much as Solomon who was exceptional.

The Whites certainly made Elliot Moore eat his own words after the Oxford skipper claimed they wouldn’t be intimidated.

According to FotMob, the forward misplaced just one pass throughout the entire encounter with a 96 per cent pass accuracy on show from 24 attempted passes.

Quite often the case when players record such a high pass completion is that they fall victim to taking the safe option to prioritise keeping the ball but Solomon didn’t.

In fact, two of those passes led to assists with an xA (expected assists) of 0.65, showcasing the level of creativity on show.

Solomon also registered a goal in the game from an xG (expected goals) of 0.22 although this was converted to a remarkable 0.51 xGOT with it demonstrating how well he took his opportunity.

The Whites winger completed four dribbles in the game while creating the same number of chances and his performance should spark a lot of excitement going forward.
