Jack Harrison surely finished at Leeds United after abysmal reveal vs Derby County
Jack Harrison has failed to take any of his opportunities when starting for Leeds United this season.
Leeds beat Derby 3-1 in the FA Cup on Sunday and advanced to the fourth round thanks to goals from Willy Gnonto, Ao Tanaka and James Justin.
After Joel Piroe had a penalty saved by goalkeeper Jacob Zetterstrom, the Rams took the lead through Ben Brereton Diaz in the 35th minute.
However, a second-half comeback ensured that the Whites wouldn’t face an embarrassing FA Cup exit, and they bounced back perfectly from Wednesday’s heartbreaking 4-3 defeat to Newcastle.
Harrison, who was starting his first match since 18 October, played as a left wing-back, and his crossing into the box was particularly woeful at Pride Park.
Jack Harrison has hit a new low at Leeds
Harrison went to Everton on loan for two years while Leeds were in the Championship, and only came back to the side after Daniel Farke’s men secured promotion at the end of last season.
With the January transfer window open, Harrison looks likely to leave Leeds, with Spanish side Valencia starting negotiations for the 29-year-old.
According to FotMob, he won zero per cent of his ground duels against Derby and failed to make a single recovery during the 90 minutes.
| Stat | Harrison |
| Minutes played | 90 |
| Ground duels won | 0/2 |
| Successful crosses | 2/12 |
| Pass accuracy | 84% |
The 29-year-old registered 10 unsuccessful crosses against Derby, and it’s not the first time his deliveries have been disappointing.
He also delivered 14 wayward crosses in August’s Carabao Cup second-round exit to Sheffield Wednesday, and no other player in the entire squad has had more than 10 this season.
The English winger is simply not good enough, and to register those two dreadful performances against Championship sides is frankly laughable.
A move in January surely has to happen, as Harrison will struggle to get any game time in the Premier League from now on.

How will Leeds fans remember Harrison?
Farke’s change to a 3-5-2 tactic doesn’t help Harrison, as he is incapable of playing centrally.
He has scored 34 goals and delivered 32 assists in 219 appearances, and has had some magical moments at Elland Road.
His most memorable achievement was the 94th-minute strike against Brentford in May 2022 which helped the Whites avoid relegation from the Premier League on the final day of the season.
That will set him apart from many other Leeds players, although he has certainly soured his relationship with the supporters by moving on loan to Everton in 2023.
With the Peacocks needing to bounce back from relegation to the second tier, Harrison left immediately in order to play in the top flight.
All in all, the fans will be glad to see him leave, as Leeds try to establish themselves as a strong Premier League side.
However, his efforts in LS11 certainly won’t go unnoticed, and he would deserves a proper send-off as a result.
