‘Daniel Farke set for Leeds sack’ amid new Chelsea reveal

Daniel Farke could be closer than ever to the sack at Leeds United.

Farke’s future at Leeds has been the subject of much debate recently, with the Whites having six losses in their last seven games.

The Leeds squad are understood to be behind Farke, but that may not stop the 49ers Enterprises group from pulling the trigger on his reign in the dugout.

Defeat to Chelsea on 3 December could be the final straw for the German, and the latest new reveal will leave him very concerned ahead of the Elland Road contest.

Daniel Farke has never beaten Chelsea in the Premier League

While Chelsea have won just six of their 48 matches away matches against Leeds, the statistics still do not bode well for Farke.

He has lost every time that he has faced the Blues in the Premier League, with all three matches coming in his time with Norwich.

His side were beaten by an aggregate score of 11-2 in his time at Carrow Road, with the last result being a 7-0 defeat.

Another defeat could spell time for the 49-year-old’s time in LS11, and he will be fully aware of his dismal record against the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Leeds may make a mistake if they sack Farke

It may prove to be a mistake if the Whites choose to sack their manager, after just 13 matches of his return to the top-flight.

Farke has the Whites sitting 18th, level on points with West Ham, who sit just outside of the relegation zone.

That is surely where the Yorkshire outfit expected to be at this point, especially given that the ownership failed to bring him the required attacking recruits.

They should keep faith with Farke, and bring him what he needs in the transfer market, as that is a much better solution than replacing him.

The contenders for the role, the likes of Carlos Corberan and Brendan Rodgers are not exactly improvements, and the players would need to learn an entirely new tactical system in a really short time.

The situation is far from unrecoverable at the moment, and Farke should be given the chance to turn it around.
