Daniel Farke has one key Leeds United weapon he must use vs Tottenham
Leeds have picked up a respectable eight points from their first six Premier League games.
Daniel Farke will be looking to avoid Premier League relegation for a third time by keeping Leeds United in the big time.
It’s going to be very hard to do, but Farke’s record against Thomas Frank suggests Leeds have a good chance at beating Tottenham at Elland Road.
Leeds are going to be without key players against Tottenham on 4 October, but will be hoping to ride the wave after picking up four points from games against Wolves and Bournemouth.
Spurs have only lost once in all competitions this season, but Farke needs to harness the Elland Road atmosphere, and one weapon that was on display against the Cherries.

Daniel Farke’s Leeds need to target Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario on set-pieces
Defender Joe Rodon scored a header against Bournemouth, as Sean Longstaff’s first goal for Leeds also came from a corner kick.
Rodon racked up four shots on goal, all coming from set-piece situations, and he, along with others in the Leeds team, may play a crucial part in the game versus Tottenham.
- Rodon had 2 out of 4 shots on target against Bournemouth
- Pascal Struijk and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are also a threat in the air for Leeds
- Tottenham look anxious when defending set-pieces
Elland Road will be a daunting place for the Spurs squad to play at, and no doubt the Leeds faithful will be in fine voice for the match.
Tottenham’s goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario, has been repeatedly targeted by opponents, as Spurs have regularly conceded embarrassing set-piece goals with him in the goal.
This is an area Farke simply has to be targeting, especially off the back of set-piece success against Bournemouth.
Some have even said that Vicario has been “found out”, something the Whites will immediately put to the test next time out in West Yorkshire.
A win over Tottenham would be a statement from Leeds
There’s no hiding away from the fact that Leeds were poor in the summer transfer window.
Fans have argued that Paraag Marathe has not given Farke the tools to work with this season, but the head coach could make a statement with a win over Spurs.
Not only would it be a massive boost for Leeds heading into the international break, but it could also give the 49ers and Marathe more reason to believe that Farke can keep this team up.
