This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road and Thorp Arch.
Shockwaves have been sent through Elland Road this week as Leeds United defender Ezgjan Alioski has been linked with a move to Galatasaray.
Phil Hay has reported that the talks with the Turkish club are growing and that the Whites aren’t going to improve their current contract offer.
Given the shocking links between the two clubs, it has understandably angered the majority of our fanbase.
Alioski hasn’t been a top performer this season and has often been exposed.
The Premier League is the toughest league in the world, and the Macedonian international has plugged a hole for Marcelo Bielsa at left-back when needed.
Bielsa will want an experienced out-and-out left-back at Elland Road moving forward, especially with European football a real goal in the coming years.
Stuart Dallas has been the utility man ever since Bielsa arrived, and this may be the move that forces the Whites into the market for a new signing and replacement; although no one wanted it to happen this way.
We asked our esteemed panel of MOT Super Fans if Alioski would leave Elland Road as a villain should he complete this move.
The responses were mixed, but the general reaction was that his legacy would be tarnished after being part of the squad that took us back to the Premier League.
