What Niko Kranjcar said about latest Leeds United target will excite supporters
Niko Kranjcar has given a glowing endorsement of the latest star to be linked with Leeds United.
Off the back of Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds, it seems as though the Whites are really starting to turn a page in their Premier League campaign.
However, their ability to maintain that throughout the remainder of the season will largely be determined by their ability to recruit in the January transfer window.
Several stars have already been linked with a move to Elland Road, and should the latest target arrive, he could change everything.

Martin Baturina could be a game-changer for Leeds
While Dominic Calvert-Lewin is starting to find some form at Leeds, it remains fairly evident that the Whites will be looking to sign a new striker in January.
However, the addition of another number 10 could also prove vital, with Brenden Aaronson once again failing to showcase his worth in the top flight of English football.
Fabrizio Romano reported over the weekend that Leeds had made an approach to sign Martin Baturina, who has struggled for gametime under Cesc Fabregas at Como.
That is despite the fact that the Spaniard hailed the Croatian as an “immense” talent, with a move seemingly on the cards in the winter.
Back in 2024, Kranjcar shared his verdict on Baturina, and it is one that will excite supporters at Elland Road.
Via Telegram, the former Spurs star said: “Martin has that something that makes people come to the stadiums. He plays serious football, especially in important matches.
“He’s been the best in the most important matches, which makes a difference. When it comes to development, it depends on a lot of factors, but I’m happy to see Martin is improving year after year.”
Baturina could be Leeds’ new Ao Tanaka
Ao Tanaka has been immense when handed the chance at Leeds this season, but for one reason or another, that has been quite rare.
Whether Daniel Farke sees something that fans don’t can only be speculated.
However, Baturina offers everything that Tanaka does and more, while also being five years younger than the Japanese international.

In his last season for Zagreb, the Croatian created a remarkable 92 chances, with 11 assists to his name as a result.
Defensively, he put up good numbers as well, with 36 tackles won and 164 successful duels.
If Leeds can get this deal over the line, it would be a major coup.
