View: Predicted Leeds United XI v Leicester after Jesse Marsch news – Diego Llorente out, Patrick Bamford on bench

Leeds United travel to take on Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon (05 March).

Jesse Marsch will take charge of the Whites for the first time since replacing Marcelo Bielsa earlier in the week at Elland Road.

Diego Llorente is likely to be missing, with Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper also ruled out, although all three could be back after this one.

Illan Meslier will start in goal as usual, with the Frenchman hoping for more defensive protection in the new system.

Luke Ayling and Junior Firpo will start at full-back, with the four-at-the-back system being used rather than subtle changes.

With Llorente out of action, it will most likely be Pascal Struijk and Robin Koch partnering each other at the back, in their usual positions and not in midfield.

The first major change will be two holding midfielders, rather than that one man in the anchor role who has to absorb everything.

Those two will be Adam Forshaw and Stuart Dallas, with both full of running and perfect for the new zonal marking system.

It will be experience used during the first outing.

That means Jack Harrison and Raphinha will start in the attacking midfield roles, and they could have more license to drift inside if they want rather than staying so wide.

Joe Gelhardt and Patrick Bamford will be on the bench, ready to be used if needed by Marsch at the King Power.

Rodrigo will finally get the chance to play up-front as he has always wanted rather than in midfield, and he will have the pace of Dan James alongside him.

Here’s how we expect the Whites to line up tomorrow…
