Jeff Stelling shares what he has been told about Patrick Bamford injury at Leeds United

Jeff Stelling has shared what he has been told about Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford live on Sky today [19 February].

The Sky Sports host took a minute out of the schedule to address the England international, who is no closer to a return.

Bamford is still struggling with pain in his foot, something that is stopping him from even starting his rehabilitation at Thorp Arch.

Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday (12:57 pm), Stelling relayed the news that all Leeds fans have hated hearing.

“There is currently an increasing concern about Patrick Bamford,” he said.

“We’re told he is still suffering pain from his foot injury so seemingly no closer to a return.”

Increasing concern.

We were hoping that Bamford would have made some progress by now, but it only looks as though it is getting worst.

Playing the majority of the season without your main talisman is hard on any side, so it is dreadful for Leeds given their situation.

Some would say that it actually shows how well the Whites have done to get this far and have that six-point gap to the relegation zone.

Add to that the injuries of Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper, and these are vital players that we continue to struggle without.

Hopefully, we can see some progress soon and Bamford can be back to make some impact on the final couple of months of this season.
