This is why I think Jack Harrison should start for Leeds United – He could unleash star man further

Jack Harrison will never be a fan favourite again at Leeds United.

Harrison left Leeds to join Everton on loan for two seasons while the Whites were in the Championship, but returned after promotion at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke admitted he would give Harrison a chance, but he has been reduced to substitute appearances so far in the Premier League.

Despite all of that, it may be time for the German to give Harrison his first league start of the season.

Jack Harrison’s remarkable record at Leeds United

Some Leeds fans forget just how successful Harrison really was at Elland Road.

In his five full seasons in the Championship and Premier League, the winger actually managed a brilliant 65 goal involvements.

Those included 44 in the Premier League alone, over three seasons under several managers.

With Dan James currently injured and Willy Gnonto only just working his way back to fitness over the international break, the door is open.

Brenden Aaronson has started the last four games for Leeds, and while admirable in defence, he isn’t good enough attacking to warrant his place against the likes of Burnley and West Ham.

Harrison could take his spot on the right, and his ability with his left foot could see one Leeds star take his popularity even further at Elland Road.

Jayden Bogle could explode alongside Jack Harrison

Bogle has been the main man at Leeds ever since he signed from Sheffield United.

He has tasted Premier League football at Bramall Lane previously, leading to the Blades faithful suggesting he would crash at the top level again.

That has not been the case.

Bogle was never going to repeat his heroics from the Championship, scoring six and assisting four, but I think his overall game has gone up another level.

The former Derby man has outperformed some of the biggest names in the Premier League, just look at big-money Liverpool signing, Jeremie Frimpong, for example.

With stats via Sofascore, Bogle has outshone the Dutchman defensively and going forward, with his average of 50 touches per game drowning Frimpong’s 21.

Now, imagine the right flank being opened up further for Bogle.

Noah Okafor is untouchable on the left alongside Gabriel Gudmundsson right now, so having another left footer in Harrison on the other side could work magic.

Against Tottenham, Harrison was on the left when coming on from the bench, but he never uses pace to beat his man; instead, he could move to the right and cut inside as much as he likes.

That would open the door for Bogle to overlap constantly, causing havoc for the opposition, something I would personally like to see more of.

I truly believe that while Gnonto and James cannot play, Harrison could be the answer on the right, which could, in turn, take Bogle to yet another level at Elland Road.
