Poveda starts after Bielsa update – MOT View: Predicted Leeds starting XI v Brighton

Leeds United travel to Brighton on Saturday afternoon looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa delivered his team news on Thursday afternoon, and it was good news for Rodrigo who has recovered from his injury problem.

It wasn’t good for Raphinha though, with the Brazilian still ruled out from the blow picked up against Manchester City weeks ago.

Leeds United

Illan Meslier will continue in between the sticks, with the Frenchman becoming the youngest keeper to reach 10 clean sheets in Premier League history this week.

The back four will also remain the same, with Luke Ayling, Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijk and Ezgjan Alioski all continuing.

Robin Koch is pushing for a start in the absence of Liam Cooper, but it would be extremely harsh should Struijk be dropped after his brilliant performances.

Kalvin Phillips is the first name on the teamsheet after his excellent outing in the 0-0 draw against Manchester United, we wonder if he has let Bruno Fernandes out of his pocket yet.

Leeds United

Stuart Dallas is likely our player of the season, and his recent performances with Tyler Roberts have been sensational, especially against the level of opposition we have faced.

With Raphinha out injured, and no update on Helder Costa who was forced off against Manchester United with a back problem, this could be the chance Ian Poveda has been waiting for.

The 21-year-old has been thrown into the action in recent weeks and has shown real glimpses of promise, something that could be a real weapon against the Seagulls.

Jack Harrison will also start, with his balls into the box for Patrick Bamford something that has caused problems for nearly every single team we have faced this season so far.
