MOT View: Predicted Leeds United starting XI in Jesse Marsch first game v Leicester

Leeds United go into their Premier League clash against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon with everything changing.

Jesse Marsch will take charge of his first game for the Whites after replacing Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road on Monday.

The American is expected to change the system in his first decision, with two up top potentially the way forward, starting at the King Power.

Illan Meslier will keep his spot in goal, with the Frenchman having little competition despite his awful run of form.

Luke Ayling and Junior Firpo will revert to their usual roles at full-back, with no more experiments of three at the back expected.

Robin Koch and Diego Llorente will be given the nod at the back, with experience set to be called upon at the start, leaving Pascal Struijk left out.

Stuart Dallas and Adam Forshaw will hold in a midfield two, with defensive tactics in the holding role vital to Marsch’s system.

That will lead to two attacking midfielders, who can invert as well as stay out wide at Elland Road.

Raphinha and Jack Harrison will take those roles at first, but with Brenden Aaronson likely arriving in the summer, that role is made for him.

Finishing the side will be two strikers, and given our limited options, Dan James is likely to start up there again, using his speed.

This could be a real break for Rodrigo, with the Spaniard potentially finally getting an extended role as a number nine, something that may help him with James alongside him who can do the pressing.

Here is how we expect the Whites to line up on Saturday…
