Leeds will dread reunion with Georginio Rutter that forced Daniel Farke to learn lessons
Leeds United will come up against Georginio Rutter when they face Brighton on Saturday.
Leeds are currently on a high after beating West Ham 2-1 at Elland Road last time out, but their former attacker could come back to haunt them.
Leeds have not won away at Brighton in their last nine attempts, and they face a tough task to do so on 1 November.
Daniel Farke will hope to put daylight between his side and the relegation zone, but Rutter may be a thorn in his side.

Daniel Farke rued Leeds’ mistake after selling Georginio Rutter
Rutter left Leeds after his £40million release clause was triggered by Brighton in August 2024, and he has impressed on the south coast.
Farke was left without one of his star men after the Whites failed to secure promotion in the 2023-24 season.
The German called on the club to avoid the same mistake, putting a release clause in a player’s contract in the future.
Speaking before the transfer went through, he said: “What’s still the reality is there were some contracts and it’s not like you come in, have a different view and press a button and change it.
“As a club we have to learn the lessons.”

Rutter may haunt Leeds as they try to break Brighton nightmare
Leeds have failed to score in their last seven trips to face the Seagulls, and they will be trying to end that nightmare run when the sides meet again.
Rutter already has three assists in eight Premier League matches this season, and he will hope to continue that impressive form against his former side.
- Rutter notched eight goals and 18 assists in 66 matches for the Whites
- He has since grabbed eight goals and seven assists in 40 matches for Brighton
- He has assisted against Fulham, Tottenham and Newcastle in this campaign
Farke will be dreading the reunion with the star who forced him and the LS11 outfit to learn lessons and left a gaping hole in his squad.
The German will hope that Rutter is not able to extend his great record, and the likes of Jaka Bijol and Joe Rodon can deal with him, and stop him from making an impact against his ex-employers.
If he does manage to get on the scoresheet or bag another assist, it will prove another blow for Farke.
