Leeds United to sign Jack Clarke before August 23 in late transfer blitz
Leeds United and the 49ers Enterprises must kickstart a late transfer blitz at Elland Road with the signing of Jack Clarke from Sunderland.
The Whites want to reunite with the young winger as a potential replacement for Georginio Rutter, who is now set to join Brighton [Mirror].
After terrorising Sheffield Wednesday in a 4-0 win on Sunday 18 August, Clarke could line up against them once again but for Leeds on Friday 23 August.
If the 49ers are serious, they must get a deal over the line quickly this week for that to happen.
Leeds United to sign Jack Clarke?
With four signings wanted by Daniel Farke in 11 days before the deadline [The Athletic], Leeds are going to have to move very quickly with little room for negotiation.
One thing on their side is the sheer amount of cash available to them after the sales of Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray, Glen Kamara and shortly Rutter, taking them above £100million in sales.
Clarke is among the main men in the Championship now the likes of Summerville has left and surely he wants another crack at Elland Road after Spurs snatched him far too early in his career.

If the 49ers are serious about promotion back to the Premier League, signing Clarke before the Sheffield Wednesday game would be a huge statement.
Farke cannot go into another game with Dan James, Wilfried Gnonto and Joel Piroe behind his striker, with the Italian the only one to show up so far this season.
Clarke would be a huge shot in the arm, and it could be done very quickly to get this late-window blitz underway in West Yorkshire.
