Leeds United to ‘inflict further damage’ on Sunderland with summer transfer
Leeds United have already struck a blow to Sunderland in the shape of a win at Elland Road but could be about to inflict more pain on the Wearsiders.
A 2-1 victory for Leeds all but ended Sunderland’s hopes of achieving a top-two finish, while significantly boosting their own chances with a seven-point gap now present on third-placed Burnley.
It will have been a real blow for Sunderland who, despite several barriers, have enjoyed a fruitful campaign of their own.
However, things may be starting to get much worse for Sunderland, with Leeds potentially set to inflict further damage for those on Wearside.

Leeds United eye summer deal for Wilson Isidor
According to a report from TEAMtalk (19 February), Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor is one of the names on a list of potential summer recruits for Leeds.
The Frenchman scored for Sunderland in their clash with Leeds, taking his goal tally up to 12 which is more than respectable for a player in his first season in the country.
Quite frankly, Isidor had Ethan Ampadu on strings for the clash at Elland Road and has quickly established himself as one of the best strikers in the Championship.
Isidor netted the only goal of the first half of the clash, finishing excellently into the far corner with Illan Meslier beaten.
Having only recently made his Wearside stay a permanent one, Sunderland will likely drive a hard bargain for their frontman, regardless of whether they can achieve promotion or not.
Isidor isn’t the only name being looked at, with Tammy Abraham also courted by Leeds United ahead of a potential blockbuster summer swoop [TBR].

Leeds ready to show summer ambition
While Leeds failed to recruit in January, they will certainly need to do so in the summer especially if they are to achieve promotion this time round.
The gulf in quality between the Premier League and the Championship is growing each and every year and it increases the need for sides to invest heavily in the playing squad to have any chance of safety.
With 13 games still to go, Leeds are not quite there yet, but the writing is certainly on the wall and a win against Sheffield United on Monday would all but seal their return to the top flight.
