Leeds United should be worried after Cody Drameh applauds Cardiff chant
Cody Drameh won his battle with Marcelo Bielsa to leave Leeds United on loan and his season has gone exceptionally well at Cardiff City.
The 20-year-old right-back desperately wanted first-team football this season and chose to head to the Welsh capital where he has gone on to thrill the Championship as a wing-back.
The Bluebirds ended their season on Saturday (7 May) with a 1-0 away win at already relegated Derby County and the travelling supporters showed their love for the Whites loanee.
Journalist Glen Williams shared the chant being belted out by the packed away end at Pride Park aimed at Drameh and what the 20-year-old did in response.
“‘We want you to stay, we want you to stay, Cody Drameh, we want you to stay’ sing the Cardiff fans. Drameh acknowledges them with an applause,” Williams wrote on his personal Twitter account.
Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch obviously couldn’t have impacted Drameh’s future in January as he wasn’t in the hot seat at the time but he can have a big say on what he’ll be doing next season.
And the American needs to be worried because it looks like the Englishman has loved his time in Wales and he might fancy a return to the Cardiff City Stadium next season.

His big problem at Elland Road is the form and experience of Luke Ayling who is the club’s uncontested first-choice right-back and there are no signs to suggest that his position is under threat.
If Drameh can’t be guaranteed regular football by Marsch, then he will surely try to force a move out of the club in the summer.
The only thing he could do is play Ayling as a centre-half in a three and allow Drameh the freedom of the right-hand side as a wing-back, as he has done for the Bluebirds this season.
In other Leeds United news, another Whites youngster is set to hold key talks with the club over his future.
