Leeds United player ratings after yet another defeat v Spurs

Leeds United were thumped yet again in the Premier League this afternoon against Spurs at Elland Road.

First-half goals were smashed home by Matt Doherty, Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane to take it beyond the Whites almost instantly.

Marcelo Bielsa attempted to make changes at the break, but his system and tactics were once again embarrassed with ease and Spurs finished it off with a fourth towards the end.

MOT Leeds News have rated the players below…

Illan Meslier – 6

Wasn’t much he could do about the goals, but the Frenchman was once again beaten at his near post for the second. He did make a brilliant stop in the second half.

Luke Ayling – 4

Never got to grips with the game and was constantly out of position following Heung-Min Son around the pitch and not laying a glove on him.

Pascal Struijk – 5

Another poor afternoon should have opened the scoring and then did nothing to keep the deficit down losing his man consistently.

Diego Llorente – 0

Wow, what is wrong with the Spaniard. The piece of defending, if you can call it that for the second call was the worst piece of football we have seen all season – someone needs to have a word.

Leeds United

Junior Firpo – 4

Far too aggressive and is easy to turn, added in with his ability to get booked every single week for something so stupid.

Robin Koch – 6

The German turned up more than others today despite the big cut on his head, and it could have been a different story had he not hit the post in the opening 45 minutes.

Stuart Dallas – 4

Poor afternoon from one of our main men, and it was down to where Bielsa was playing him – a major decision that he simply got wrong, once again.

Adam Forshaw – 5

Struggled. It is hard to make a massive difference in any game when you are the only man in the middle of the park surrounded by those bombing forward, let down.

Leeds United

Raphinha – 4

Nothing worked for the Brazilian, whether it was trying to get past his man and whipping in set-pieces – his head just doesn’t seem in it anymore.

Jack Harrison – 3

The winger has struggled like most in recent weeks, and can’t seem to get past his man or whip in a dangerous delivery anymore – he is crying out for a target man to hit in the middle.

Dan James – 3

Another afternoon of running with no real reward. The Welshman hardly touched the ball and this experiment in the final third needs to end.
