Leeds United must avoid signing Derby attacker Tom Lawrence at all costs
Leeds United have once again been linked with a move for Derby County attacker Tom Lawrence.
TEAMtalk reported on Friday [27 May], that the Whites are among a number of clubs looking at the Welshman as he could be available for nothing this summer.
Derby are yet to see their takeover formalised, meaning contracts cannot be extended as things stand, something that may not change given their relegation to League One.

Leeds must avoid signing Lawrence at all costs.
The winger only managed 11 goals all season in the Championship despite being given all of the freedom in the world by Wayne Rooney, making him his captain.
With no Premier League experience behind him, Leeds are better off keeping Crysencio Summerville as their rotation option, with more pace and skill on offer from the Dutchman.
The main reason why the Whites should avoid him at all costs is his history.
Lawrence is known for causing trouble, and would never be accepted by the Elland Road faithful given his past of ridiculing them and Andrea Radrizzani after that play-off semi-final defeat all those years ago.

Not a chance.
We all remember that night, and we all remember those Derby players giving it their all to ridicule everything to do with the Whites on the Elland Road pitch.
It’s funny how times change though isn’t it?
Derby starting next season in League One is brilliant as we begin our third consecutive year in the Premier League, we are simply on another level right now.
Lawrence is nothing more than a Championship player, and even forgetting his chequered past, he is nowhere near good enough to take us to the next level.
The signing of Brenden Aaronson for more than £20million was a sign of things to come, there is no chance that Victor Orta will be looking at Lawrence.
It’s time to go to another level, we must avoid this one at all costs.
