‘Leeds door opens to sign Solomon’ amid £26m Tottenham news
Leeds may have just been presented with another perfect opportunity to complete the permanent signing of Manor Solomon.
The forward excelled for the Whites during a loan stint from Tottenham last term, striking 10 goals and 12 assists to help his side on their relentless run to the Championship title.
Leeds have been interested in the possibility of a permanent deal for Solomon since the start of the summer, but the situation at his parent club has changed drastically on several occasions.
However, the North Londoners have just made a decision that should have Leeds fans dreaming of a return for their former star once again.

£26m Yilmaz deal could trigger Solomon sale at Spurs
Thomas Frank has hinted that Solomon may not be in his immediate plans at Spurs in the last few days, and that stance could be telling, given that Son Heung-min’s departure in theory leaves a gap to be filled on the flanks.
The Lilywhites have countless options within their ranks already who could step into the starting XI, but they also seem intent on bringing in another option.
They are understood to be preparing the offer of a package worth around £26million for Galatasaray wideman Baris Alper Yilmaz, according to Fotospor (6 August).
Player | Starts | Goals per 90 | Assists per 90 |
Manor Solomon | 30 | 0.35 | 0.42 |
Wilfried Gnonto | 26 | 0.36 | 0.24 |
Daniel James | 30 | 0.41 | 0.31 |
Largie Ramazani | 7 | 0.67 | 0.22 |
Frank has countless high-quality options available to him to play in a wide role, and all of them have greater experience at Spurs than Solomon.
The Israeli international has been keen to ensure he gets a chance in N17 during pre-season, but an injury in their opening outing against Reading appears to have drawn a line under that prospect.
Daniel Farke and Co. have been watching his situation intently since the start of the summer, and they will surely be encouraged by the latest development.
If Tottenham can secure a deal to bring Yilmaz to the Premier League, then it will surely open the door for one of their widemen to leave, and it could easily be Solomon who is sacrificed.

Solomon’s return would be a huge boost for Leeds
Farke still needs to get more attacking options through the door at Elland Road if his side are to have a chance of survival, and there can be no doubt that a return for Solomon would give the whole club a significant lift.
The former Fulham man was integral to their success last term, and he is somebody who the fans have already built a strong connection with.
If the Whites can take decisive action in the next few weeks and make a move for their former star, then it would be no surprise if Tottenham didn’t stand in their way.
