Glen Kamara axed as Djed Spence makes first start – Predicted Leeds United XI v Swansea City

Daniel Farke could finally be able to field his strongest Leeds starting lineup when they face Swansea at Elland Road on Wednesday night.

The Whites were held to a 1-1 draw by Rotherham last time out and missed the opportunity to put pressure on Leicester and Ipswich in the automatic promotion places, but will look to get back to winning ways against the Swans.

And the boss confirmed in his pre-game press conference that he has no injury concerns for the first time this season, meaning he could make changes to get what he feels is his best lineup.

Leeds United manager

Illan Meslier will continue in goal ahead of Karl Darlow having earned back the trust of the fans as the number one at the club.

In defence Sam Byram is fit again and should come in for Junior Firpo at left-back, while vice-captain Pascal Struijk has fully recovered from hernia surgery and will get the nod ahead of Liam Cooper despite the skipper being fit after limping off against Rotherham.

Alongside him will be Tottenham loanees Joe Rodon and Djed Spence, with the full-back fit again after several months out with a knee injury.

In midfield Ethan Ampadu will continue his run of starting every Championship game so far, and Archie Gray should find himself back in his natural central midfield position ahead of Finland international Glen Kamara.

Further forward Daniel James and Crysencio Summerville have established themselves as the starting wingers at the club with their excellent form and should continue, keeping Jaidon Anthony and Wilfried Gnonto on the bench.

Joel Piroe and Georginio Rutter’s partnership has continued to blossom too and with the French forward declared “100% fit” by the manager, Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt can wave goodbye to any chance they had of a rare start.
