The 49ers have decided to stick with Daniel Farke past the international break.

It was revealed on Tuesday that Farke is set to see out his media duties with Leeds United before the Whites’ next Premier League clash against Aston Villa.

Farke is under growing pressure at Leeds and finds himself in perhaps the toughest spell of his time at LS11.

Leeds know how tough it will be to avoid relegation this season, but questions have been raised over Farke’s ability to get the best out of this Leeds squad.

Following the 49ers’ decision to back Farke, MOT Leeds News looks at the three remaining scenarios that could shape the German head coach’s fate.

A win vs Aston Villa would give Daniel Farke space to breathe

Aston Villa are one of the most in-form teams in the Premier League right now, which makes the task of beating Unai Emery’s side seem daunting.

However, the international break could work in Leeds’ favour, giving Farke and his team a gap to regroup, rest, and refocus.

Leeds’ last three head-to-head games against Aston Villa:

• Aston Villa 2-1 Leeds, 13 January 2023
• Leeds 0-0 Aston Villa, 2 October 2023
• Aston Villa 1-0 Leeds, 17 July 2022

Whereas the break has disrupted Villa’s good form, and Farke can still take full advantage of that when the sides meet.

The Whites haven’t had the best luck against Villa in recent times, and a surprise win could be used as a springboard for Farke to keep his job longer than anybody expects.

Next four games could go horribly wrong for Farke

Leeds have an extremely hard period of fixtures coming up, particularly in their next four games.

Elland Road has been tipped to save Leeds from Premier League relegation; however, even the great fortress at LS11 may see the task too difficult for the upcoming games.

Farke could be hung out to dry after the following fixtures, facing the real possibility of dismissal from this brutal run of games.

The Whites will be the underdogs in every game, and for a reason, with Farke simply needing a miracle to get a win in any of the next four matches.

The 49ers could make a dramatic U-turn on Farke

There is still plenty of time left to go before the end of the November international break.

The timing could work against Farke, giving the 49ers more opportunity to reflect on their head coach and present situation.

There’s enough data for Paraag Marathe and Co. to spend time looking at, and if they look deep enough, a dramatic U-turn decision could be made on Farke.

Given their previous loyalty to the German head coach in bad moments, it would be a surprise to see the 49ers turn their back on him after the recent update.

One way or another, it doesn’t look good for Farke. However, all he can do is take each game as it comes, starting with that visit of Aston Villa in a little over a week’s time.
