Daniel Farke may want to drop Ethan Ampadu after what he did away from Leeds
Daniel Farke will have been praying that his Leeds stars come back fit and firing after the latest international break.
Leeds have had early team news ahead of their Premier League clash against relegation rivals Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Farke will be glad some of his players are doing well away from Leeds ahead of their return, as Jaka Bijol has staked his claim for a starting spot.
Ethan Ampadu has started for Leeds on five occasions this season in the Premier League when he’s been available, but may not be returning to Elland Road in the best of form after the latest developments.

Welsh media not impressed by Ethan Ampadu gifting Belgium a penalty
Ampadu played an important part in Leeds‘ promotion last season despite having his injury problems.
The captain is regularly called up to represent his nation in Wales, and has previously impressed, but after conceding seven goals in two games, the Welsh media have had their say.
Game | Result |
England vs Wales | 3-0 Loss |
Wales vs Belgium | 4-2 Loss |
Wales Online gave Ampadu a critical rating of 4/10 after their defeat versus Belgium on Monday, and said, “Penalty decision seemed harsh, but was overwhelmed for much of the evening.”
Ampadu conceded a penalty while his side were 1-0 up, in a moment that proved to be costly.
Clwb Pêl-droed (Football Club of Wales) said, “The midfielder showed composure in possession and picked out some smart forward passes but was often caught out of position during Belgium’s rapid transitions,” giving Ampadu a rating of five.
Not only did Ampadu concede a penalty, but it seems like he didn’t help give Wales a fighting chance of getting a result

Ampadu’s performances have really given Farke a decision to make ahead of the Burnley clash, as Ao Tanaka has returned from injury.
Ao Tanaka should start for Leeds over Ampadu
Tanaka has been away with Japan and has been able to gain some valuable minutes for his country and build fitness.
The midfielder was instrumental for Leeds’ last campaign, and from glimpses we’ve seen from him, he looks capable of playing at England’s highest level.
Tanaka could give Leeds a boost of energy in midfield, and Farke needs to make this big call – it only makes sense.
