49ers to seal Daniel Farke’s Leeds fate after latest Premier League managerial development
Daniel Farke may have just been dealt the final blow of his Leeds United reign after an update from elsewhere in the Premier League.
The German has been coming under ever-increasing pressure at Elland Road in recent weeks, with the Whites hovering precariously above the drop zone at the November international break.
There was speculation that Leeds would sack Farke throughout the summer following their promotion, but it ultimately didn’t materialise before the start of the campaign.
The 49ers gave him time on that occasion, but there may be no escape for him this time around after this latest development.

Leeds to sack Daniel Farke and appoint Marco Silva
Tim Sherwood recently suggested that Leeds’ dismissal of Farke is “inevitable,” and the writing certainly appears to be on the wall for the boss.
His side have tasted defeat in four of their last five Premier League outings, and they already find themselves glancing nervously over their shoulder.
Managerial sackings in football are often triggered by a certain event, be that from within the club or from elsewhere, and that moment may have just happened for Leeds.
Fulham are now understood to be assessing the future of Marco Silva, who is out of contract in the summer, according to Ben Jacobs via his X account.
“Tensions are mounting” at Craven Cottage, and both Silva and the club hierarchy appear happy to part ways at the end of his contract, although given their concerning form, a sacking could also seemingly be on the cards.
With that in mind, Silva’s likely imminent availability could effectively make the 49ers’ minds up for them on their own manager’s future.

If they were to dismiss Farke, they could make a quick and likely cut-price approach for Silva, knowing that Fulham surely wouldn’t stand in their way of reaching of an agreement, given their current situation.
Marco Silva’s Premier League record is overwhelmingly stronger than Daniel Farke’s
Leeds have had concerns about Farke’s ability to manage in the Premier League for several months now, and those doubts have effectively been proven right in their recent results.
He has never been able to achieve success in the top flight, whereas Silva has done impressive work across jobs at Fulham, Everton, Watford and Hull.
| Manager | Teams | Games | W | D | L | Win % |
| Daniel Farke | 2 | 60 | 9 | 10 | 41 | 15% |
| Marco Silva | 4 | 220 | 78 | 45 | 97 | 35.45% |
His 35 per cent win rate at Premier League level is certainly not to be sniffed at, considering that he has never taken charge of one of the top clubs, and it simply dwarfs Farke’s own dismal record of 15 per cent.
The Portuguese has led Fulham to three consecutive finishes of 13th or higher, and he would surely have as good a chance as anyone of keeping Leeds in the division if the 49ers could convince him to join.
The Elland Road chiefs have a major decision to make on Farke’s future, but it may be about to be made for them after the latest news on Silva.
