Paraag Marathe amazed by Daniel Farke Premier League reveal at Leeds United
Paraag Marathe has the power to extend Daniel Farke's contract at Leeds United.
The German manager is in the final year of his deal with the Whites and will be free to walk away at the end of the season unless he puts pen to paper on fresh terms.
After securing Premier League safety last season and getting off to an unbeaten start this time around, a large section of the fanbase want to see the 49-year-old head coach stay.
Marathe seems no different, having been impressed by Farke at Elland Road.
In the summer, 49ers Enterprises made a significant investment in the German manager's squad with some quality signings, indicating that they're behind him.
The West Yorkshire outfit's hierarchy understand the importance of stability, and it's not something many Premier League teams can boast about right now.
Where Daniel Farke ranks in longest-serving active Premier League managers
Leeds are in talks with Farke and there's confidence that they will be able to get a deal over the line soon.
The German manager now has a solid base at Elland Road, with the likes of James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic in defence.
There's no reason why Farke's team can't finish in the top half of the table this season and progress on that in the coming years.
Marathe clearly wants that to happen and values the German head coach being one of the longest-serving active managers in the Premier League.
Farke ranks third behind Arsenal's Mikel Arteta and Aston Villa's Unai Emery, with other clubs in the English top flight having relatively fresher faces in the dugout.
Speaking to BBC Sport journalist Laura Scott on 8 October, Marathe said, "Daniel has been tremendous for us. I was looking at his tenure rank in the Premier League the other week and it's amazing how that's the case.
"He has been fantastic for the club. Look forward to many more games with him."
How Daniel Farke can finally be convinced to sign new contract in January
Farke wanted to see ambition from the Leeds ownership before the transfer window and that's what he got.
The Whites added quality to their squad in the summer and the positive effects are there for everyone to see.
What has certainly been game-changing for the West Yorkshire outfit is the significant investment they made in Trafford and Muharemovic.
If there's one position where the Peacocks could add more quality, it's up front.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has shouldered most of the goalscoring burden on his own since last season.
The signing of a prolific number nine in January may fully convince Farke that Elland Road is the right place for his long-term future.
