Daniel Farke and Leeds United are in strong positions amid negotiations over a new contract.

The German manager's stock is high after securing Premier League promotion, keeping the Whites up last season and making an unbeaten league start to the new campaign.

As things stand, the 49-year-old head coach is in the final year of his deal at the West Yorkshire outfit and it remains to be seen whether he will stay in LS11 beyond that.

Farke and the Elland Road hierarchy seem to be on the same page after working together to make some quality signings in the summer.

Paraag Marathe and 49ers Enterprises seemed to doubt the German manager's credentials around a year back, but backed him heavily this time around.

With time slowly running out at the Peacocks regarding the former Norwich City head coach's future, some fans have started to feel anxious.

Leeds United fans get positive update on new Daniel Farke contract

Leeds managing director Robbie Evans has recently talked about Farke's new contract and said that the two parties were on the same page.

Confidence in the German manager will surely be at an all-time high after a decent start to the Premier League season, with two wins and three draws in the first five games.

BBC Radio Leeds' Adam Pope doesn't seem to have any doubt that the Whites will finalise a deal with Farke.

The issue regarding the time left to negotiate an agreement has been dismissed, with the club and manager working together.

Responding to a question over Farke's contract on BBC Sport on 2 October, Pope said: "I remain confident an agreement will be reached. I believe time pressure is not as much of an issue as many feel.

"Ultimately, both parties are in strong positions. Farke's stock is high and the club is performing well on many fronts with him at the helm of the football side."

Why Daniel Farke agreement is more important than some realise

Farke has built a competitive squad at Leeds and the stability with the German boss has arguably played a role in that.

Marathe and the 49ers want to reestablish the Whites in the English top flight and the former Norwich head coach feels like the right person for that.

Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have been at their best under Farke.

If the German manager were to leave, it wouldn't be surprising to see some top players follow him out of the club, which the West Yorkshire outfit would definitely want to avoid.
