Daniel Farke joins Mikel Arteta and Eddie Howe in elite club after latest Premier League news
Daniel Farke continues to impress as Leeds United boss, after guiding the club to Premier League survival.
Taking over at Elland Road in 2023, the German boss has worked well to galvanise the Whites, who were somewhat in disarray after squandering their top-flight opportunity in 2023.
At the second time of asking, Farke would fire Leeds back up in convincing fashion.
As a result, he has earned the chance to guide the West Yorkshire club into a second successive Premier League campaign.
His side would end the 2025-26 season in 14th, while their survival was sealed with matches to spare.
Now, the Leeds boss sits among an impressive list of managers in England's top tier - indicative of the job he has done at Elland Road.
Kieran McKenna bombshell sees Daniel Farke join impressive Premier League list
As is often the case in modern football, it is rare for time and loyalty to be afforded to a manager.
Farke, though, now sits among the division's longest-serving managers, following the recent news surrounding Kieran McKenna.
On Wednesday, it was confirmed that the Ipswich boss would be departing the club, with the news coming that he is set to take a break from coaching.
Taking the job at Portman Road in December 2021, McKenna would guide the Tractor Boys to promotion three times, while Ipswich rose from League One to the Premier League in the space of two years.
Following the most recent promotion, McKenna would have taken his place as the manager with the third longest reign of any Premier League manager, beaten only by Mikel Arteta (December 2019) and Eddie Howe (November 2021).
With the shock departure in mind, Leeds boss Farke now takes his spot as the fourth longest-serving head coach in the division, with only Unai Emery (November 2022) separating him and the mentioned pair of Arteta and Howe.
What can Leeds expect as Daniel Farke continues to build?
Following the ascent in May 2025, the cautious thoughts surrounding Farke were only natural, given his previous failures in the top flight with Norwich.
However, he continued to prove people wrong throughout the season, with his Leeds side continuing to shift through the gears before securing their survival in convincing fashion.
Last summer, the Whites recruited well, with players arriving in the prime of their careers, ready to make an instant impact at Elland Road.
This time around, there should be a view to adding more youthfhul exuberance to what is a strong and experienced core.
If Farke is to strike this balance right, there is no reason as to why further progression cannot be expected under his stewardship.
For large parts of the most recent season, the race for Europe remained wide open until the final day, and with some smart recruitment, Leeds will absolutely be aiming for that region of the standings as they settle down in the Premier League.
