Willy Gnonto ‘fed up’ at Leeds United as behind-the-scenes issue predicted by Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has suggested Willy Gnonto is “fed up” at Leeds United after being substituted by Javi Gracia during the 4-2 win over Wolves.
The Italian was hooked just after the hour mark at Molineux (18 March) and replaced by Rasmus Kristensen, who scored within seconds of being introduced.
Gnonto has been linked with a return to Italy (90min, 22 March) and Robinson has admitted the 19-year-old will be frustrated with his latest treatment at Elland Road.

“Yeah, I think he will be fed up. I think he will be fed up that he’s been left out of the side,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“You can only read between the lines, you don’t know exactly what’s going on.
“He brought Kristensen on just after the hour so it’s almost as if Gnonto had an hour to prove himself before he got dragged.

“There’s clearly something going on. He’s going to be frustrated because he started pretty much every single game and was gaining all the plaudits.
“There’s a lot of people speaking very highly of him, the new manager gives him a start then subs him after an hour, he’s going to be frustrated.”
“From personal experience from being inside camps when that happens to players, he’s going to be fed up.”
Gnonto returned from international duty with Italy after limping off during the Azzurri’s 2-0 win over Malta.
Injury expert, Ben Dinnery, has suggested (Premier injuries) the attacker has a “50 per cent” chance of facing Arsenal on Saturday (1 April).
In other Leeds United, the Whites are now in pole position to seal their first signing under Javi Gracia despite interest from a Premier League rival.
