‘Waste of space; Weak, easy to tackle’ – Some Leeds fans ‘done’ with one player after Luton draw
Two big misses skewered the Leeds United charge towards promotion last night with a 1-1 draw against Luton a very disappointing return after the triumphant 3-0 win against Fulham.
Patrick Bamford was guilty of missing one of the big chances and Helder Costa the other, late on.
There’s been debate at MOT Leeds News about which one was the worst and we’ve ended up settling on Costa. He was unmarked, in the middle of the box, with no players around him or the ball that was floated in.
Inexplicably, he managed to head the ball towards the corner flag, with a furious Tyler Roberts beating the air in frustration behind him.
Fans were understandably furious – it doesn’t take long for the Leeds Twitter to turn toxic after a performance and a result like last night’s.
To try and take the positives from it, Leeds are top of the table and six clear of Brentford with just six games left.
However, there are some fans who want to see changes for the game away at Blackburn on Saturday, and Costa is one of the players some fans want to see dropped.
Marcelo Bielsa is unlikely to tinker too much. Injuries to Stuart Dallas and Liam Cooper mean that Bielsa will likely be unable to name an unchanged line-up on Saturday, and we think Costa will get the chance to put right his wrong from Tuesday night.
Here’s what the fans think…
