View: Leeds United must beat Newcastle to sign Eddie Nketiah on bargain deal
Leeds United are reportedly looking to add some players before Monday’s transfer deadline.
According to reports from The Telegraph, Newcastle United are in pole position to sign Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal this month.
Leeds have been linked with a move for the striker [TMW], and the Whites should make a last-ditch attempt to lure him to Elland Road.

Nketiah has rejected a new contract at Arsenal and he is entering the final six months of his current contract.
Signing a central midfielder is seen as a priority for the Whites this month, but the club must consider adding a striker as well.
Patrick Bamford has struggled with injuries this season. As a result, the Whites have struggled upfront as well.
Bamford has only managed six games this season. The likes of Tyler Roberts and Rodrigo have failed to fill his void this season.
Marcelo Bielsa has turned to young Joe Gelhardt as a solution but he too has had fitness issues.
Dan James has been used upfront which clearly shows the Whites can afford to bring in a proper striker.

Nketiah previously played at Leeds on loan and he is familiar with Bielsa’s system.
The youngster, whom Mikel Arteta hailed as “extraordinary” in 2020, is a natural finisher and he would come on a bargain deal.
At Newcastle, he will still drop behind Chris Wood and Callum Wilson in the pecking order.
