Leeds United to make final decision on Crysencio Summerville soon - Fabrizio Romano

Leeds United are set to make a final decision on Crysencio Summerville’s immediate future very soon, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The reliable journalist has reported that Hamburg are interested in a loan move, and are deep in negotiations with the Whites.

As shared far and wide, though, Romano insisted that a replacement would need to be found first, with Liverpool’s Takumi Minamino mentioned.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Romano shared the latest from Elland Road with negotiations on.

“Hamburg are among clubs interested in signing Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville,” he wrote. “Negotiation on, Leeds will make a decision soon.

“Leeds need to find a replacement to let Summerville leave in January – with Liverpool’s Minamino in the list [once Luís Diaz joins Reds].”

Soon.

It looks as though Leeds are closing in on their final decision soon as the weekend approaches before the deadline.

This will mean one of two things.

Either Leeds have ensured that Summerville will have some first-team chances at Elland Road, or a new deadline-busting signing is lined up.

Minamino is the one name mentioned, but it would seem strange if one of our young talents who hardly played is replaced by a multi-million player who has Champions League experience.

The expected outcome is that Summerville will remain where he is, with Marcelo Bielsa not really having the luxury of losing any more faces this month.

This winter break will no doubt help with our injury problems, but letting another player leave is simply not smart at this moment.

Final decision coming.
