Leeds United set for sneaky new bid for Brenden Aaronson, can reach £22million - Ryan Taylor

Leeds United are set to return with another “sneaky” bid for RB Salzburg attacker Brenden Aaronson this month, according to Ryan Taylor.

The Express journalist has reported that the Whites are set to go up to £22million after seeing a £15million offer turned away.

Leeds may have to wait until the summer for a deal, with the Austrian side preparing for the Champions League knockouts against Bayern Munich.

Speaking in his latest transfer update over on YouTube, Taylor shared what he has heard about the ongoing pursuit.

“Leeds fans, from what I understand, they probably will try again with a sneaky bid,” he said.

“There’s been talk that they could raise the money to around £22million, and what you’ve got to understand with Salzburg is, although that is the start of their briefing, these players aren’t for sale – every player has a price.

“Salzburg’s model is very much reliant on overturning these huge profits on these players.”

Sneaky.

Everyone can see this one coming from a mile away, so there won’t be any sneaking around from Victor Orta.

Given that the likes of Erling Haaland have been sold by RB Salzburg for less in the recent past, we can’t see this one being turned down.

Aaronson is everything Leeds need at this moment in time, an out-and-out attacking midfielder who can also play out wide and as a number nine.

Marcelo Bielsa then wouldn’t be forced to play either Rodrigo and Mateusz Klich in that position when they aren’t the best in that role.

With another bid in the imminent future, we can expect developments very soon at Elland Road.
