Video shows last words of Marcelo Bielsa as he leaves Leeds United and Thorp Arch for final time

Fans gathered at Thorp Arch on Sunday evening to get one last look at Marcelo Bielsa before he left Leeds United for the final time.

Of course, El Loco got out of his car and spent hours talking, signing and taking pictures with those fans in his emotional farewell.

It appears more than hard at this moment for Leeds to find a manager who will connect as much with everyone as Bielsa did.

As seen on a video shared on Twitter by one of the fans at Thorp Arch, Wetherby White, it was a fitting end to his time in England.

Speaking in English, as we have not seen so often, Bielsa bid farewell to those waiting in the cold and dark.

“Thank you, good night,” he said.

Tears, anyone?

Wow, what an emotional weekend this has been for anyone attached with the club at Elland Road, Thorp Arch and the entire city of Leeds.

Bielsa leaves behind one of his biggest possible legacies if that is even possible given the influence he has had on so many people around him.

His work at Leeds will go down in history, and many will continue telling his story for years and years to come in West Yorkshire for what he achieved.

Bielsa will be honoured permanently by the club, and it could be anything from a statue or more at Elland Road or the training ground.

Unfortunately, we can’t rest on our laurels and get caught up in this for too long, with a new manager coming in and a Premier League relegation battle to survive.

It’s time for the squad to stand up and be counted, making sure they don’t go down, for Marcelo.
