Victor Orta makes Diego Martinez approach to replace Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United
Leeds United have made their first steps to replace Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road after his three years at the club.
Super Deporte have reported on Tuesday that Victor Orta has approached Diego Martinez to take the helm in West Yorkshire.
The Spanish outlet have shared on their website that Martinez has jetted onto British soil and is ready to take charge next summer.
Martinez doesn’t want to take charge of his next club midway through the season unless it is a very attractive option.
The coach has already rejected numerous approaches from clubs in Spain, with Villareal also having him on their radar.
Orta has made his approach but it looks as though it is for next season rather than immediately which will attract Martinez.

It looks as though after four magical years with Bielsa, his time in charge of the club is coming to an end this season.
Should he keep the club in the Premier League, it would be the perfect way to sign off as he delivered on each promise of bringing us back to the big time.
It will be interesting to see what Martinez is learning during his travels around England and if he is becoming the perfect man to take Leeds forward.
With Martinez holding off for the move to Elland Road, he will have months to mould himself to the club and analyse the squad as he plans his next moves.
Could more signings be made and the squad be made deeper? It will be something that Orta and Andrea Radrizzani may have to answer to next summer.
