Tony Dorigo stunned by Rodrigo goal in Leeds win v Norwich

Leeds United have Tim Krul to thank for taking home the three points against Norwich on Sunday afternoon.

The Whites were level at 1-1 at Carrow Road before Rodrigo fired a shot goalwards from distance, which initially looked like a pot-shot.

Somehow, Krul saw the ball squirm under his arms and into the bottom corner, handing Marcelo Bielsa a huge three points.

Speaking on LUTV during the game, Dorigo simply couldn’t believe his eyes that the ball eventually found the bottom corner.

“What a strike,” he said. “Tim Krul in the Norwich goal will look back at that one and will think he should have done a lot better.

“It surprised him. Rodrigo has picked up the ball 25 yards out and thought let’s just let fly. It needed to be right in the corner, it was a decent strike.

“Tim Krul really should do better – that is awful, that is a horror show.”

Take it and run.

We have deserved a slice of luck this season, and it has finally arrived to hand us another vital three points in the Premier League.

Krul has had plenty to say about Leeds in recent years, and we would be lying if we said his mistake didn’t make us crack a smile – just as it clearly did the BT Sports pundit Dorigo.

It was a huge moment for Rodrigo too, who is now in a good run of scoring in the Premier League consistently.

After smashing home his first of the season against Wolves last week, the Spaniard made it two in as many league games and hopefully, that can continue.

Patrick Bamford has been a major miss since his injury, but should Rodrigo continue finding the net, that would ease the problems in the final third.
